JSSC Jail Warder Recruitment 2025: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has temporarily postponed the application process for the recruitment exam for warders in state prisons. Recruitment for 1,733 posts
The commission had previously issued a recruitment notification for a total of 1,733 warder positions. These positions are to be filled in various jails across the state. According to the earlier notification, the deadline for online applications was December 8, 2025.

The application link was supposed to be activated on the JSSC's official website on Friday, but it remained unavailable throughout the day. Candidates waited until the evening for the application process to resume. Finally, the commission clarified that the application process had been postponed.

Major Changes in Physical Eligibility and Test

The government recently simplified the rules for the physical test. Now, men will only have to complete the 1600-meter race in 6 minutes. Women will have to complete the 1600-meter race in 10 minutes.

Men (UR/EWS/EBC): Height 160 cm, chest 81 cm (expanded)
Men (SC/ST): Height 155 cm, chest 79 cm
Women (all categories): Height at least 148 cm

Age Limit:
General Category: 18 to 25 years
OBC Male: 2 years relaxation
Female Candidates (UR, EBC, EWS): 3 years relaxation
SC/ST Male and Female: 5 years relaxation

Selection Process
